Grand Blue Anchor Town guide

The starting harbor. Grand Blue teaches its core loop here: accept a quest, beat down respawning enemies, hand in, repeat — then cash out into your first Cursed Fruit and a real weapon before you sail anywhere.

Run the Marine Captain loop

The gated Marine area asks for 25 G to enter. Once inside, the Marine Captain quest is your bread and butter: accept before you fight, turn in after, and accept again. It is the fastest repeatable EXP on the island.

Start Wizards Apprentice early

Almighty Calvin hides behind the houses on raised stone platforms. His Wizards Apprentice quest sends you to grab a Rusty Shovel and dig up a one-time treasure that contains your first Cursed Fruit — worth doing before you push levels.

Gear up at the weapon shop

The Cutlass costs 2,000 G. If you can afford it before level 30, buy it — the next town assumes you have a working loadout, not a starter stick.

Don't sleep on Morgan

The Captive Swordsman chain ends at Axe-Hand Morgan, and his fight has a second phase. Keep blocking and dodging after the first health bar drops, or you will hand him the win.
