Grand Blue races and traits
Eight races sit on a common-to-mythic ladder, and the reroll system is how you climb it — if you climb it at the right time.
Race rarity table
| Race | Rarity |
|---|---|
| Human | Common |
| Seafolk | Rare |
| Dwarf | Epic |
| Beastfolk | Epic |
| Skyfolk | Epic |
| Half-Fish | Epic |
| Long-Arm | Epic |
| Celestial | Mythic |
When to reroll
Race rerolls and trait rerolls are independent — a code that pays both lets you chase each ladder separately. The trap is timing: rerolling at level 5 burns outcomes you cannot evaluate, because a race's value only shows up in the content you can survive.
Bank your rerolls until you are settled on an island (Clown Town is a good milestone), then spend them in one session. Check your real odds per roll with the reroll calculator before you start, and redeem every active code first — free rerolls should fund the whole attempt.
What traits do
Traits modify how your character performs inside a race — they are the cheaper, more frequent rolls, and the ones worth spamming first. Treat a mythic race with mismatched traits as a project: fix the traits before you touch the race roll again.
