Grand Blue ships, Mary and sailing

Ships connect your island progression. A vessel is a travel purchase, not a combat upgrade — budget for both before you commit.

Find Mary in Maple Village

Mary is the ship contact in Maple Village. Speak to her to browse the available vessels and read their current G costs — prices are shown in the shop, and they are worth reading before you promise the money elsewhere. Decide up front how much of your balance stays reserved for weapon skills and rerolls; a bigger boat does not fight for you.

From purchase to departure

  1. Select and compare. Compare the current ship options and prices in Mary's shop before confirming.
  2. Spawn it. After purchase, use the game's ship spawn interface — buying does not put the boat under you automatically.
  3. Board and inspect the controls. Steering, cannons and other functions show their own interaction prompts once you are aboard.
  4. Check the anchor. A fresh spawn is usually anchored. Hold the interact key (E on desktop) as the prompt shows to raise it.

Plan the next island first

Before you cast off, pick the destination in the island route and finish any active hand-in. Arriving with your next quest contact already known turns a first visit into progress instead of sightseeing.

If the ship will not move

  • Is it spawned? Use the ship's correct interaction point — the bow is not the wheel.
  • Is the anchor still engaged? Read the anchor prompt; this is the most common cause.
  • Input mismatch. Desktop shortcuts and touch prompts differ; follow the prompt for your current device.
  • Persistent bug? Use the game's official community support guidance — do not buy a second vessel as a fix.
